The Jacobs Center Welcomes Kitchens for Good!

The Jacobs Center is proud to partner with Kitchens for Good as we evolve our culinary, hospitality, and workforce development offerings in the community.

Kitchens for Good is a social enterprise founded on the idea that kitchens can be drivers for economic and social change for a community, something we couldn’t agree with more! Kitchens for Good now operates our 22,000-square-foot kitchen and event space as well as the full service catering and events company formerly known as True Roots Catering and Jacobs Meetings and Events.

However, Kitchens for Good will do more than serve up delicious meals and design memorable events. They will provide culinary and hospitality job training and placement for local residents, create livable wage jobs for graduates of these training programs, and generate revenue that is reinvested into community programs. When you are hire Kitchens for Good for your event your money goes further because it supports programs that directly help the revitalization of Southeastern San Diego’s Diamond Neighborhoods. The San Diego Union Tribune recently did an article on all of the good Kitchens for Good is doing across the region from their new home at the Jacobs Center. Read it here.
