The Valencia Park/Malcolm X Library is hosting Cal-SOAP college prep classes for local high school students that give tips, tools and critical skills needed for academic success.
The free program runs July 11 – 25 with both mid-day and evening classes introducing studies in marine science, engineering, nursing, conservation biology and computer science.
On July 31 at 6:30 p.m. there will be a workshop on resume writing and college interviewing. Another “Steps for Success” program for middle school students will be offered July 24 – Aug. 1. For more information about these and other upcoming events, contact the branch library at: (619) 527-3405.
