Cesar Chavez breakfast put on by the Cesar Chavez Service Clubs

Cesar Chavez Service Clubs’
Las Mañanitas* Breakfast
A TRIBUTE TO DOLORES HUERTA

*Mañanitas: a traditional Mexican song that is sung on birthdays and other very
special occasions and often sung as an early morning serenade to wake up a loved one.

Dolores Huerta, co-founder of the farm-workers movement and widely known on many occasions to go ‘mano a mano’ with Cesar Chavez, was one of the United Farm Workers Union’s most visible spokespersons. Her decades of steadfast and total dedication to civil rights and the feminist movement led her to build the Dolores Huerta Foundation which continues today teaching the legacy of organizational and personal success she, Cesar Chavez, Fred Ross, Sr., and others have inspired. Dolores Huerta is the icon for nonviolence, sacrifice and service to others.
