Transportation Solutions for Seniors
Volunteer drivers are needed for On the Go — a transportation solution program for older adults who need rides to everyday activities such as religious services, medical appointments, grocery shopping and pharmacy pick-ups. Learn how easy it is to become a volunteer driver by attending one of the upcoming training sessions at the Turk Family Center, 8804 Balboa Avenue: Monday, March 19 at 3 p.m.; Monday, April 2 at 3 p.m.; Friday, April 20 at 9 a.m.; Monday, May 7 at 3 p.m.; and Friday, May, 18 at 9 a.m. On the Go provides low and no-cost transportation services to older adults, age 60 and over. Serving up Pancake Breakfast
Broadway Heights Community Council will host its annual Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, March 24 from 7 to 11 a.m. at Mountain View Recreation Center, 641 South Boundary Street.
